Love’s Reckoning by Laura Frantz
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was one of those moments when I smack my forehead and wonder if there are any brain cells left. I downloaded this ebook THREE YEARS AGO and never read it. Why? Because I honestly thought I had. Then flipping through the Kindle a few days ago, I took a closer look at it. Nope. Never read it. And from one of my most-favorite authors too. #feelingstupid
Laura Frantz didn’t disappoint. (She never does.) A wonderful tale set in Colonial America with believable, likable, and relatable characters. From extremely varied backgrounds – as was often the case in Colonial America – these characters survive in a world that is still developing, still evolving, still unsure and uneasy in many ways. Lots of tension, lots of secrets, and plenty of pluck to see it all through. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
